FAQ

WHERE WILL OUR WEDDING TAKE PLACE?
Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all occur at the same venue - The Springs Event Venue in Cypress. The address is 12612 Malcomson Road, Houston, TX 77070.

WHEN IS THE RSVP DEADLINE? DO I NEED TO MAIL BACK MY RSVP, OR CAN I DO IT ONLINE?
Please kindly RSVP by December 15, 2023. You may accept or decline using the RSVP Tab on our wedding website.

WILL WE BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors.

Following the ceremony, cocktail hour will be outdoors. Should there be inclement weather, we will move indoors. 

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
We ask that you arrive 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

I'M TYPE-A AND LIKE TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. WILL THERE BE A SCHEDULE I CAN FOLLOW?
We will have printed programs available at the wedding, but the timeline is below for planning purposes. 

3:30PM: Guests arrive at the venue
4:00PM - 4:30PM: Ceremony 
4:30PM - 6:00PM: Cocktail Hour
6:00PM - 11:59PM: Reception
12:00AM: Clock strikes midnight + Bride/Groom final exit

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
The dress code for our wedding is Black Tie Formal Evening Wear / New Year's Eve Festive.

For women, we recommend floor-length evening gowns or formal jumpsuits. For rentals, we suggest checking out Rent The Runway. We kindly ask that you avoid wearing the color(s) white and ivory.

For men, we recommend tuxedos. For rentals, we suggest the online company, The Black Tux, partnered with Nordstrom. In lieu of a tuxedo, we encourage men to wear a formal black suit and bowtie.

We highly encourage all guests to have their red carpet moment by wearing bold and festive formalwear for the holiday occasion. Feel free to wear sequins, ostrich feathers, metallic hues, jumpsuits, satin/velvet elements, and glam embellishments. The world is your oyster!

WILL THERE BE FOOD AND DRINKS?
Cocktail Hour: We are serving Maryland + Texas-inspired heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be open bar.

Reception: We are having different food stations consisting of the Bride + Groom's favorite foods, desserts, late-night snacks, and drinks will be open bar.

There will be many options throughout the evening to accommodate all guests while taking dietary restrictions and allergies into account. 

ARE THERE OPTIONS FOR THOSE WITH DIETARY CONSTRAINTS?
Yes. If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, please indicate this in the notes section of your RSVP to ensure you are adequately fed throughout the evening.

CAN MY KIDS ATTEND?
Our wedding is an adult-only event. We hope this can be a time for parents to savor a night out while enjoying the live band and other entertainment!

CAN I BRING A DATE?
We can accommodate only those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding.

I'M COMING FROM OUT OF TOWN - WHAT AIRPORT SHOULD I FLY INTO?
In Houston, there are two airports. The venue is a 30-minute drive from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and a 50-minute drive from William P. Hobby Airport (HOU). Please keep holiday traffic in mind as you consider your travel plans.

WHERE DO YOU RECOMMEND I STAY?
We have two hotel blocks. Please click on the Travel Information Tab on our wedding website to view the options. The cutoff date for booking within the room block is December 8, 2023.

WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED TO/FROM THE HOTEL & VENUE?
We kindly ask you to provide your own transportation to and from the venue. There is a huge parking lot on the property. Please note, there is no overnight parking, so please plan accordingly.

Additionally, Houston and the surrounding areas have ample RideShare options, ranging from Uber to Lyft.

HOW'S THE WEATHER IN HOUSTON?
The weather is varied, and there's no way of knowing the temperature months, weeks or even days in advance. Please plan accordingly.
